For veterinary clinics
Free accounts for verified clinics. Look up any PawAWhere pet by microchip, and submit microchip-number changes for admin review.
What vet accounts can do
- Search the entire PawAWhere pet database by any attribute — microchip number, pet name, breed, colour, owner email, owner phone, tag ID, care notes, anything. Useful even when a lost pet has no tag or collar.
- View the full record: photos, care instructions, medications, dietary notes, on-tag contacts, and the owner's details.
- Submit a microchip update request for an existing pet record. Attach a scanned certificate (PDF / JPEG / PNG) — a PawAWhere admin reviews it and applies the change manually once confirmed.
Vet accounts are read-only otherwise. You can see everything but the only field you can change is the microchip number, and even that goes through admin review with your uploaded certificate on file. Approved changes are logged against your vet account for audit.
What vet accounts cost
Nothing. Vet accounts are free — no activation, no monthly fee. They exist so clinics can reunite lost pets faster, not to sell tags.
If you also want a QR tag or metal tag for your own pet, that's just the regular customer pricing ($2/month per QR, or $45 for a shipped metal tag with 12 months included).
Getting a vet account
Vet accounts are created manually by PawAWhere after a quick verification. Email [email protected] with your clinic name, AVA / clinic registration number, and the staff email you'd like associated. We'll get you set up within a day.
